Dr. Emma Naluyima is Exceptional
I had heard a lot of great things about her. But as a filmmaker, it was now my time to capture her story. Dr Emma Naluyima is exceptional as reported in all articles. It took almost a month to secure an appointment for this day. Dr. Emma is a very busy woman with lots of things to deal with. She has a progressive mixed farm, a primary school with 400 learners, a husband and 4 children. So getting a day for a documentary shoot doesn't come that easy. My interest was filming the farm and to be specific, her livestock enterprises. She keeps, jersy cattle, pigs, chicken and cat fish. Her farm located at Bwerenga Kawuku, Wakiso district, just 5.2km from Kampala city is 100% organic. Every enterprise feeds into the other making it self sustaining. The waste from the animals is used to feed earthworms and maggots which are used to feed the animals. The waste of the earthworms is channeled into the garden as pesticides.
